Site Rules & T&C

We are a relaxed and unpretentious site, and we don’t have lots of rules other than asking everyone to be considerate to other campers and keep noise levels down. However, we do ask that everyone reads the following terms and conditions before booking.

Payment/Deposits

For bookings outside school and bank holidays, we do not require any advance deposit. Payment must be made on or before arrival by bank transfer, or on arrival in cash. Bank details will be provided in your booking confirmation email.

We require advance payment for the following bookings:

EHU pitches- All school holidays and bank holidays

Non-EHU pitches- Bank holidays and the Summer half term (27th May-4th June 2022) only.

For the above bookings, we require a £10 per night advance deposit to secure the booking and the outstanding balance settling at least 10 days prior to arrival.

**Please note that electric vehicle charging is not permitted on EHU pitches. We do not have EV charging facilities on site**

Refund/cancellation policy as follows:

For cancellations 28 days or more in advance of arrival, we will refund any advance payment made in full.

For cancellations less than 28 days in advance of arrival, a refund of your deposit will only be given if we can re-book your pitch in full. An admin fee of £20 will be deducted from any refunds given.

If the outstanding balance is paid in advance of ten days beforehand, then this portion of the payment is fully refundable up until ten days before your arrival date. You will not lose out by settling your balance in full further in advance, should you need to cancel!

If we are forced to close for any reason and we have to cancel your booking, we will refund any payments made to us in full.

Refunds will not be given for early departures for any reason including weather conditions.

Arrivals and departures

You can arrive on site any time from 1pm onwards and we ask campers to arrive no later than 8pm, with the exception of Friday nights when up until 9pm is permitted. No admission is permitted after these times except with prior permission from ourselves. We may allow later arrivals for campervans or small tents with quick set-ups.

We ask that you depart your pitch no later than midday. If you would like to arrive earlier or leave later- please ask and we will check if this can be accommodated.

Noise

We aim to be a quiet and peaceful site and ask that all campers respect this and are courteous towards others at all times. No loud music is permitted at any time and we ask that noise levels are kept to a minimum from 10pm until 7am.

Anyone behaving in a manner that is unacceptable and disruptive to other guests will be asked to leave and a refund will not be given.

Groups

We do not permit any group bookings without permission. Any small family/friend bookings of more than one unit must contact us prior to booking to discuss first. No adult only groups will be allowed. Campers found to have booked individually with a view to joining up on site may be asked to leave and no refund given

Dogs

A maximum of two dogs per booking are permitted. Dogs must be well behaved and kept on a lead at all times.

Lighting

Snowdonia has International Dark Sky Reserve status and we have chosen to have no outside lighting apart from at the shower block.  This is appreciated by most campers and makes for much better star gazing, but please make sure you bring adequate torches/headlamps etc.

Drones

Drones are not permitted to be flown from anywhere on the campsite or farm without prior permission from ourselves. Drones will never be permitted to fly from, or directly over, the campsite.

Firepits & BBQ’s

Fire pits and BBQ’s are permitted but they must be raised off the ground so as not to damage the grass.

Weather & Ground Conditions

Please bear in mind that we are an exposed site on the North Wales coast. Our stunning open panoramic views do come at a price! Please check the weather conditions before travelling. In adverse conditions it may be worth delaying arrival as pitching in strong winds can be challenging.

Our ground is rocky and quite hard. Whilst this means it can be difficult to get pegs in, once in they stay put well, and it rarely gets soggy. We strongly recommend the use of rock/hard ground pegs and a mallet. We recommend buying in advance, but these can be purchased on site at a cost of £15 for a box of twenty rock pegs.

For caravan awnings, an awning strap is strongly advised.

Issues & Complaints

We hope that you will enjoy your stay at Merthyr Farm. If you have any problems during your stay, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can try and resolve them.

If other campers are being disruptive then please let us know. We cannot be aware of everything that is happening on site all of the time, so we appreciate issues being brought to our attention.

We hope to see you soon!

Bryn & Lizzie Roberts
